About

This website acts as a gateway to science, technology, analysis, and research across policing.

Here you will find the NPCC science and technology strategy, our Areas of Research Interest that signal our priorities, stories of our innovation, and evaluations of its value to public safety and justice. You’ll also find signposts to science initiatives across forces and policing partners. Finally, if you work within policing, you will find information to support your career and development as a scientist.

The Office of the Police Chief Scientific Adviser (OPCSA) maintains the website. OPCSA delivers independent and timely scientific and technology advice to NPCC members on strategic, policy and operational issues; it drives the strategic growth of science and technology by encouraging an integrated and ambitious set of activities across NPCC portfolios; and it fosters collaboration across Whitehall and with the wider science community, both nationally and internationally.
