Today marks the launch of Policing Tomorrow, the first edition of a magazine developed by the Police Chief Scientific Adviser to explore the newest advancements in science and technology that are improving policing. Making the actual science behind technologies policing today, and in the future, accessible to the public for the first time.

This magazine will be published twice yearly, and give a voice to the vibrant community in policing who are dedicated to creating a science led service to protect the public.

In this first edition, hear from leading academics and policing figures dedicated to the prevention of crime and reduction of harm.

The topics are wide ranging, including:

  • The use of AI to identify and prevent knife sales
  • Data-driven approaches to prevent serious violence
  • The new challenges for protecting children against sexual abuse
  • Preventing insider risk within large organisations
