In March 2023, the OPCSA undertook an extensive mapping exercise to capture force level innovations across the country.

All police forces in England and Wales use innovation to improve, including providing better, more efficient services for their communities. However, too often, force level innovations have remained local and the opportunity to scale a solution for shared benefit was lost. We brought many of these innovations together for the first time, and shared them with the policing science community to celebrate their successes and to share their insights.

As part of our role to align with the commitments of the Research Integrity Concordat and build transparency of S&T in policing, we have published what we can from this report for the public to view.
