Police STAR Fund 24/25 – EOI now open

We are pleased to announce that the Police STAR Fund 24/25 is now open for EOI submission. EOIs should be submitted via the online form available on the how to apply page of our website.

The EOI stage will close at 5pm 10th November, and only applications submitted through the online form will be considered for funding.  

What is the Police STAR Fund call looking for?   

The Police STAR Fund 24/25 call is seeking to fund force and regional innovation, research and evaluation across science, technology, analysis, and research. We are looking to fund a variety of policing led projects seeking to deliver innovative solutions to current and future policing challenges. In previous years we have funded projects in public health initiatives, forensic science methods, knife detection, reporting and investigation of VAWG, use of AI, and the evaluation of novel operational methods.   

How to Apply  

The Police STAR Fund operates a two stage application process:  

Stage 1 - EOI: the Police STAR Fund EOI stage will be open for submissions between 9am 16th October – 5pm 10th November 2023 using the online form available at science.police.uk. The EOI questionnaire can be found in the bidders prospectus available on science.police.uk to help support the drafting of your bid.  

Stage 2: If you are successful at EOI, we will invite you to submit a full proposal which will be due 19th January.
